Three hardy Bravehearts came to Carrum beach in front of the Carrum lifesaving club today (5 June 2016) for the final social open water swim of the season. Although it turned out that wet suits were necessary the conditions were very calm with barely a breath of wind. After 6 laps between the off shore marker poles the Bravehearts returned to the beach tired but elated. After a hot shower at the Carrum Surf Life Saving club, whose members happened to be there should any Braveheart require saving, everyone enjoyed a snack, a hot drink and a chat. An added bonus for the day was the pod of 15 or so dolphins spotted directly off shore from the surf life saving club.
Thanks again to Greg for arranging today’s event.
